The HSE Work Positive CI tool produces a range of reports containing useful feedback.

Work Stressors reports

The Work stressor questions review work demands, roles, relationships, control, change and support.

The Work Stressors questions do not indicate there is a problem; rather, they indicate the presence of conditions that may lead to a problem.  Your results will be coloured coded, indicating the requirement for action. You will need to share and discuss the outcomes of the survey and other data collected with employees, and explore any issues raised in more detail.  Click here for more information on Work Stressors reports.

Psychological Wellbeing

An index was created through a combination of two validated tools - the PHQ4, a screening tool for psychological distress and the WHO-5 Well-being Index, which measures an individual’s wellbeing over the last two weeks. The results may indicate potential issues for our staff both in and out of work.  Click here for more information on this wellbeing index.

Critical incidents

A critical incident is defined as an event out of the range of normal experience. It is sudden and unexpected and may make you lose control. It involves the perception of a threat to life and may include elements of physical or emotional loss (from the World Health Organisation). The survey contains critical incident questions exploring the frequency and scale of critical incidents staff encounter in their role, and the types of support that may be most helpful. This section may not be relevant to all employees.

Work Safe

As we spend so much of our time at work, it is vital to look at our staff safety behaviours and culture. This section looks at employees’ understanding of health and safety.

These results provide you with an overview of the current safety culture within your working environment using a traffic light system.  All responses must be reviewed, you must acknowledgment and endorse the positive responses/work practices (indicated in green) with your staff.  Where improvement has been indicated (in yellow and red) use this as an opportunity to review your safety management system in line with the recommendations received.   For further support contact the Health & Safety Helpdesk on 1850420420 or www.hse.ie/safetyandwellbeing.
